D.A.R.E. Field Trip

D.A.R.E Camp is for those 6th grade students who excel in the D.A.R.E. Program. The students who qualify have participated throughout the semester, done all of their assignments in the book, completed any extra credit work they could, behaved in the classroom, written their D.A.R.E. essay and read it in front of their class, and followed any and all of the rules set forth on the first day of class. These exceptional students are treated to a day at a local arcade / pizza parlor. The children pay nothing for food, or fun. It is their reward for doing such a fine job in the D.A.R.E. Program, and for being great kids.

D.A.R.E. Summer Camps

The D.A.R.E Summer Camps commence in June and go through August at their respective school sites. Participants must be of 4th through 6th grade age. There is NO CHARGE for the participants. The scheduals for these camps are delivered to the schools in May but are also available at the Sanger Police Department's Dispatch window after June 1st. Participants must bring their own lunch to the event. Participants will receive a t-shirt, duffel bag, soccer ball and a water bottle at NO CHARGE!!!

D.A.R.E. Back to School Swim Party

The D.A.R.E. Back to School Swim Party is an end of summer event that allows all elementary age students who are interested to participate. The event is a picnic style party held at the Sanger City Pool. Our pool is large and even has a great water slide. The Sanger D.A.R.E. Program supplies, (with the help of sponsors) all the food, drinks, and fun. We always have Friday Night Live and Kings View, (two local anti-drug / gang programs) on hand to supply the music and games. We get as many officer as possible to participate by helping with the BBQing and the games. This event is a total blast. The event is held mid August just before the start of the new school year. Tickets are distributed, but are only used as an advertisement. The Party is FREE. Last year we had about 250 students attend this event.
