SWEEPSTAKES AND CONTESTS

Sanger Police Department will not have any sweepstakes, but may have contests and/or games on the site. These contests and/or games may require the user to provide some personal information to participate such as full name, address, e-mail address and phone number. Children under 13 are encouraged to ask permission from a parent before entering a contest. Children will be told, in easy-to-understand language, exactly why the information is required (i.e., to contact winners).

In order for a child who wins a Sanger Police Department contest or game to receive a prize, he/she must have the parents / guardians permission. The Sanger Police Department's D.A.R.E. Officer will send or bring the gift to the winners parents / guardian. The prize may be given to the child with the parent / guardian present, and with their permission. Most contest or games will be held on the various school sites. Prizes will most likely be items such as D.A.R.E. shirts, hats, or other D.A.R.E. materials.

NOTE: The above contest and/or games are for Sanger area elementary school children only.

Children are also encouraged to use a "screen name" their initials or just their first name; no last names and/or street addresses are ever required to participate. All submissions to Sanger Police Department become the property of Sanger Police Department, and Sanger Police Department is entitled to use the submissions in any manner it sees fit. However, Sanger Police Department does not sell or transfer personal information about users who make such submissions to third parties. There will also be times when the D.A.R.E Officer receives items as above from students on the school site. These items before being posted on the site must have parent / guardian permission as well. In regards to any posted information about the child and the submission, only the first name and school will be placed on the web site.
